"Wisdom has built her house" - (Christ, the Wisdom of God, in whom and from whom ALL wisdom is)
"....as He who built the house has more honor than the house, for every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God. And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward, but Christ as a Son over His own house, who we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end" Hebrews 3:3-6
As I think of a "HOUSE built by God" I think of the various meanings the Lord has shown me in my life and leading up to even this day, and the many parallels of a Home in scripture as we as women continue to build 'our homes' both physically and spiritually. I also look forward to sharing updates with you and I pray that we all continue to allow the building work of God to unfold in each of our lives, for our Builder & Maker is God, it is He who builds all things.
• God builds Creation, the first Home. - "and God said....and it was so" Genesis 1:9. All scripture rests on these words regarding our relationship with Christ and His promises...Do you believe God said it and it is so? - In the beginning God built the first house, creation itself, built by God. God built the first home, we call it Paradise, but Paradise was Lost as sin then came into the world when man rebelled against Gods Word - Adam & Eve. Mankind was Lost. God then showed His people what "is good" through the Old Testament prophets and leaders who were continually speaking against the rebellion of the people. But man rejected that. The cycle of rebellion was continually repeated; rebellion, repentance, and rescue. God pleaded always...and sent prophets, priests and kings to bring His people back to Him - yet they rejected Him again as Messiah. "The Good", "I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me" John 14:6 ...."Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved" Acts 16:31
• God builds mans heart, His Home. - Through believing Christ's message...of man's rebellion, man's need of repentance and returning to God and Christ's salvation through the cross God then builds man's heart beginning from the time we first believe as we make our heart His Home and accept Him in our heart as Lord and Savior. He makes man's heart His dwelling place as we were made to contain God. This Home, man's heart, is built by Wisdom, made without the hands of men but by His Spirit & He then continues to build them in the knowledge of divine and spiritual things, all the days of their life.
• The House of the Living God. - The church on earth is built by Christ upon Himself, the Rock and the Foundation. The materials of His House are the true believers, precious and living stones; built up into a spiritual house, a habitation for God through the Spirit and continually being built up by Christ through His word and and continuing until He returns.
• Christ's Father's House, Heaven. - In heaven God has prepared a home for His children, a home where we will be forever with God. A city which there are many mansions for His people "a city whose builder and maker is God" prepared by Christ 2000 years ago and stands firm upon the promises of God, the person, blood, and righteousness of Christ, and the grace of the blessed Spirit.
• "Wisdom built her house" Proverbs 9:1.....Proverbs 14:1 says that “The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down". This is such an important truth for us as women and it exhorts me to see a great value in “house building”. I know from both Scripture and experience that nothing should be built without a manual and unless the Lord builds the house, those that labor, labor in vain. No wise architect builds without a plan and a budget and no house is secure without a firm foundation. What really does it mean to build 'my house'? What are the necessary things needed for those who would be named among the wisest of women? Scripture is our manual and building plan and Christ is our firm foundation on which we build.
• Christ, in whom and from all wisdom is....is building my home in Powhatan as I write this today. As Randy and I made our hearts Christ home, and as the Lord then began building our home and family, we also knew He was building our home in heaven as well. As Randy was nearing Home and looking forward to the city whose builder and maker was God, he also purposed in his heart to begin to build my home here. God gave him a vision as he prayed for Gods provision and protection over me and I look forward to share with you Gods answer to Randy's prayers and the miracles of Gods grace, provision and faithfulness - It is through many people, many prayers, an architect and a builder .... all who are a part of the "good God is doing" as Randy promised and as he continued to seek Gods for you, and for me as he prepare my home here as he knew God was preparing his Home in Heaven.
